have you done anything like rent a car, or something similar . Where the put a hold against $ in your account as the deposit. This happen when i buy petrol. I run the card at the pump. The system takes( pre approves) about $80( enough to fill most vehicles) on my account. then i pump say $30 into my car. And then a couple days later $30 charge is paid and the $80 hold is released. Just an idea.ALSO, You are protected more if you pay with credit cards and not cash cards. with debit card , many evil doers can access your cheaking account. I had someone use my credit card to steal money and the card company took care of the problem. It was someone at a gas stop that used the card after i used it pay for fuel. Funny thing was they used it to their home utillity bill, wasnt hard to find them. ahahahah

I live in Toronto Canada and a lot of people..I meant a lot, are having the same problem, but with debit/interact.

Everyone here gets their money back after filling out a lot of paper work at the bank.

I work in a mall in the Greater Toronto Area, and everyone, including employees of the mall AND customers are having the same problem. My manager and assistant manager a lone got hit twice. My managers boyfriend who lives in the city got hit twice in the same month. both times money was taken.

We all figured at first it was a particular store or two everyone is shopping at and they're stealing card info and pins via swapping pin pads or other means. But there is not a single place where we all shop at (not even in the food court)

But my Uncle said a hacker can just sit in a parking lot and hack into a system and take debit numbers, but not the PINs. So these hackers have to guess at the PINs. They even got me, but they guessed wrong 3 times and my account shut down to any debit withdrawals. So they didn't take anything, all I had to do was get a new card and change my PIN.

I hope this helps in any way! :)

That may not work. If it did it still would count as a cash advance. The only exception is Using a Discover Card at Wal-mart (but call Discover to make sure). Purchase an item, tell the cashier you want cash back with your discover card before swiping it.

Most places including some bills take Visa or Mastercard for payment. Plus some companies use speedpay.

I use Discover for business and Chase for personal. Here is why:

Discover has had a long tradition of being different. When the Discover card was first introduced there was no annual fee, - that may not seem like a big deal but back in the day it absolutely was. Discover credit cards also offer cash back rewards.

For a business using Discover for their corporate credit cards this is a big advantage - you get cash back for spending. And the best part about using these particular corporate credit cards is that the cash back rewards are targeted at specific purchases that you will make as a business, such as gas, travel and office supplies.

The current standard APR on Discover corporate credit cards is 13.99%. There is also a 0% APR introductory offer. Remember - these cards come with a grace period of at least 25 days when you pay the balance in full each month. This means you can run your business interest free on Discover's money in 25 day cycles.

A lot of the others have shorter grace periods - something most consumers don't think to check up on.

just what it says....its a cashback reward from the credit card company for using their card. Usually it is based on a percentage of the total amount you buy
